Studio Policies
1. Scheduling Lessons:
- Lessons are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Regular lesson times are available weekly at the rate of $120 for 50 minutes.
- Lesson packages, monthly & quarterly, are offered at a discounted rate of:
10% off - 4 Lessons
($108 per lesson) - $432
15% off - 12 Lessons
($102 per lesson) - $1,224

2. Cancellation Policy:
- If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice.
- Cancellations or reschedules made with more than 48 hours’ notice will incur no penalty.
- Cancellations made less than 4 hours before the scheduled lesson time will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the cost of the lesson, which must be paid before the start of the next lesson.
- Cancellations made with at least 4 hours’ notice but less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a fee of 50% of the cost of the lesson, due before the start of the next lesson.
3. Payment Policy:
- Payment is due the day of the lesson, prior to the lesson start time.
- Payment can be made via cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle.

4. Refund Policy:
- Individual lessons are non-refundable once taken. Lesson packages are non-refundable for any reason.
5. Late Payment Policy:
- A late fee of $15 will be charged for payments received later than 7 days from the due date.
6. Travel Fee:
- For lessons at the student’s home, a travel fee of $20 applies to residences within San Francisco proper.
- Any lessons outside of San Francisco proper have a variable fee depending on distance.
- This fee is in addition to the regular lesson fee.
7. Online Lesson Options:
- Online lessons are available and can be arranged if preferred or necessary. The studio rate for online lessons is the same as in-person lessons. Please ensure a stable internet connection and appropriate devices are ready for the online lesson.
8. Holiday/Vacation Policy:
- The studio will be closed on major public holidays. These dates will be communicated at the beginning of each year. Lessons that fall on these dates will be rescheduled or refunded as per student preference.
9. Studio Etiquette:
- Please arrive on time for your lessons.
- If a student is late, the lesson will still end at the originally scheduled time.
- This policy ensures that subsequent lessons for other students are not delayed.
10. Practice Expectations:
- Regular practice is essential for progress. - Students are encouraged to practice daily and discuss any challenges with their instructor.
11. Liability Policy for Lessons in Home Studio:
- Students (or, in the case of minors, their parents/guardians) are responsible for their own safety and belongings while on the premises. - Alexander's Voice Studio is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage that may occur on the studio premises.
- In the case of minors, parents/guardians must ensure their child is supervised until the lesson begins and must promptly pick them up at the end of the lesson. The studio is not responsible for supervision outside of scheduled lesson times.
- By attending lessons at the home studio, students (or their parents/guardians) agree to release Alexander's Voice Studio from any and all claims, liabilities, or demands arising from or in connection with their presence at the home studio.
